Asparagus Steak cheese plate prosciutto

…all of the above! (and that was just lunch… I didn’t even bother taking photos of the amount of food I ate during dinner. Le sigh)

Hate to be the party pooper and burst your bubble, but losing 8-10 lbs in a month, depending on your body size/ratio, is most probably lethal to your body’s health. For instance, if you’re 250lb, losing 8-10 lbs is probably alright. But judging from your profile pic, losing 8-10 lbs might invite a screwed up menstrual cycle, loss of boobies and butt, and bad breath.

I know, because I used to be a work-out holic and calories counter.
Best advice? Just eat whatever you want, and work it out later.

If you become heartbroken or lovesick (or actually sick sick) you’ll lose weight w.o even trying!
Haha ok, enough with the jollying. Nip nighttime eating and drink black coffee and unsweetened tea.

for a short-term diet to lose pounds quick go the no-carb/all-protein route. yup. basically all you can eat is meat and salad. not even fruit!

amanda, whatever diet you decide on, i’ll do it with you!!

do you have time to go to the gym with your crazy work schedule?? i spent the last 3 months working in nyc and lost about 5lbs in one month while working crazy 12+ hour days, 1 hr gym sessions 2x a week, and eating a LUNA bar for dinner mon-fri. of course i gained it all back as soon as i came back to LA with my mom’s cooking.

@launderette - I think everyone knows that a healthy diet and regular excercise is key… but I’m up for something quirky! Wouldn’t anyone use me as a guinea pig?

What is a LUNA bar? The only time I can excercise is before 7am… it’d have to be a good discipline. Maybe we should just do deb’s crack diet but I am missing a blender.

I had a stomach virus for a week and lost 10 pounds! =X although I don’t recommend that at all!

I just had fluids for a week and weight just slipped off. You will be surprise by how much water weight you’re retaining.

hmm do you know if she saw any results with the crack diet yet? i’m willing to try it, let me know what you decide!

LUNA bars are nutrition/energy bars. it’s by the same company that makes CLIF bars but LUNA is targeted towards women. i first started buying them because i was looking for an easy, portable snack and LUNA had less fat and calories than the other bars. do you have them in australia? i haven’t experimented with too many of the flavors but i like Nutz Over Chocolate the best and i heard the lemon one isn’t too bad either.

i think skipping dinner 4-5 nights out of the week and replacing it with a little snack (ie. energy bar, just under 200 calories) was what helped, not just the LUNA bars. http://www.lunabar.com/http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_sg/002-0823770-4079225?url=search-alias%3Dsporting&field-keywords=luna+bar&x=0&y=0<table><tbody><tr><td>Calories<td>180<tr><td>Calories from fat
45

Total Fat
5 g

Cholesterol
0 mg

Sodium
100 mg

Potassium
105 mg

Total Carbohydrates
24 g

Sugars
12 g

Protein
10 g

@launderette - I’ve never seen them in my life! Although I am just as happy cooking a dinner that is around 200 calories (840KJ – yeah, we count kilojules over here. Metrics for everything) – which sounds really achievable. A packet of udon with some vegetables are only 337 kj!

I’ll start the crack diet as soon as I borrow a blender, it’s only something you do in the morning anyway!

  14. Feb 4, 2008 at 5:32 am | Permalink

but i think another issue is we can’t just limit ourselves to thinking about calories/kj, we have to factor in carbs and sugar content as well.

can you repost or msg me the directions to the crack diet please?? it says the page isn’t available anymore. i’ll start as soon as i can get the ingredients together; keep me posted!

Gastroenteritis — Stomach flu. Not the safest way.

I lived on a litre of Cerulyte for two days. Overall it was only 150 calories. Its basically packed with electrolytes that helps replace dehydration after vomitting :S I lost like 3 kilos in those two days and packed on 4 5 days after !_!

My guy-friend recently had gastro from being a pig, eating junk everyday at 11pm and within 2 weeks he lost 8 kilos. He’s still 8 kilos lighter now!
