Christmas sure comes early…

…at Icebergs anyway!

Keith and Nicole’s secret party

Celebrity Sighting of the week
PERHAPS they saved the fireworks for their bedroom, but Nicole Kidman managed to keep a super secret birthday party for husband Keith Urban on Saturday night under the radar.
Until now, that is.
While Urban celebrated his wife’s 40th with a pyrotechnics display in June this year, Kidman arranged a more intimate affair [...]

Sauced up, Seaside

2 dashes worcestershire sauce
4 dashes Tabasco sauce
Pinch salt and pepper
5ml fresh lemon juice
120ml tomato juice
Celery salt (optional)
Horseradish (optional)

Splendid Sandwiches!

I think I’ve found the BEST sandwiches in town. Johnno originally pointed it out to me…
but WOW!
Everything is freshly prepared upon order, the sandwiches are grilled open (I’ve never been a big fan of ’squished’ sandwiches’), with a good variety of bread choices including soft wholemeal foccacia. All the meats are non processed – shaved [...]

It’s spring

And the produce is flourishing! One of my all time favorites to make at home for lunch:

So many flavours in a bite!

Fresh basil, vine ripened  tomatoes, prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, with a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Takes 5 minutes to prepare… and so satisfying.

last Friday night with my darlings – I haven’t been [...]

Bebel…Só quero estar com seu cantar

I feel ever so fortunate to hear Bebel live, since I’ve loved her music for so many years. Bebel Gilberto, whose music hovers the blurred boundaries between bossa nova, salsa, and trance music, has come a long way from her first album. Tanto Tempo came out of nowhere to establish Gilberto as a fresh voice [...]

Frank Gehry

Was just casually talking about Frank Gehry during dinner last night – and I remembered that I tried this on almost exactly a year ago, at the Tiffany & Co on Fifth Ave with my cousins… and I still LOVE it.

Frank Gehry?Torque bangle, wide. Brown banded agate.

I love how it’s so organic, even with it’s [...]
